The Voice Who Outlived the Image: Excerpts in Progress
Live Performance with an Audio Recorder
2007

Lee has a conversation with a voice recorder on stage. The voice from the recorder used to belong to a TV persona, but now only the voice has survived. Lee and the voice disagree on many things, but they both agree on the fragility of human communications. They discuss the arms and legs of a giant squid, the identity of the voice that one hears when s/he reads a text, and the lack of expressions for dealing with tragedies.

First performed at Movement Research at The Judson Church, New York, NY
