In Sync/Split, one hears a voice reading a text aloud as an invisible hand writes down those words on a piece of paper. The voice talks about various interactions with sounds – imagining, tracing, neglecting, repeating, forgetting or ascribing meaning. The speaking and writing begin at the same time, but soon there are ongoing syncs and splits between the two actions.  As time passes, the writing becomes layered and some parts of the text become illegible.  One can hear the sound of the pen writing on paper, which reveals another aspect of sounding words.
